Il Camino Restaurant: A Casual Italian Dining Experience in Leominster

I lived in Leominster and loved the food here. I moved to Ohio, but I cannot find a chicken piccata as good as at this Italian gem in Leominster...I order chicken piccata here whenever I am back in Leominster for a visit. The best.

Had a family gathering here and was pleasantly surprised by the food and by the attentiveness of our waitress. I had the chicken parm with ravioli. Quite a large portion of perfectly fried chicken breasts.

Great family run restaurant in Leominster. They make their own pasta and are open 7 days a week. It was good to see the parking lot and interior packed on a Sunday evening. The portions are generous, pictured are a dinner portion of meatball and chicken parm with fettuccine. There is also a full bar complete with an extensive drinks menu. Can’t go wrong here!

The building really does not accurately represent the quality of the food being offered, nor the caliber of the staff within. The food and cocktails were all fantastic, way better than I had initially expected. I had the seafood casserole, and it was fantastic...and I am saying that after visiting Italy for a month. Our waitress, Laurel was also fantastic, warm, attentive and made our experience so fun. This is little golden gem I an out of the way location worth a drive to experience. This could be a long review and bottom line in every facet of a restaurant and I have owned many this El Camino has it dialed in. Beth B was my waitress we were getting a quick meal because my step father needed to eat as did I and my mom is in hospice with not much time left. Beth was so accommodating and the Chef absolutely nailed it. I am from the area but moved away years ago due to military deployment. My family recommended El Camino and this place is the best I have had and if your in town you gotta try this restaurant family feel small town feel I LOVE THIS PLACE.

So , a group of friends went last night. We had been there previously and it was wonderful. Out of courtesy I called head of time as reservations are not taken. To my surprise I spoke to Liz who informed me that we would have to pick from a limited menu. I asked why as we have never had to do this before. She told me that because we were a large group basically it is what it is. Needless to say very disappointed with her. I can’t say enough about our waitress laurel she was fantastic and made our night as it started off horribly. I would think twice about letting Liz dictate about what can and should be served.

This is a hidden gem of an Italian restaurant. I have been going for around 30+ years and always look forward to a meal. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service can be a little slow, but that is because they are making your food and not just reheating it. Best recommendation: Chicken Picata It is a chicken breast pounded thin and lightly battered and fried served with a lemon, butter, garlic sauce. It is rich and delicious.

Everything was so good. We had a table of 6, and everyone loved the food. Aside from good service and good food, my only notes are... the thin pasta is like angel hair pasta (too thin for me). The lava cake is cold - not molten. It's one of the best Italian places around.
